One of our ex-colleague’s birthday is around the corner and her boyfriend (Who was in the same group of friends) organized a dinner cum drinking celebration as a get together. The date was decided to be on Friday (26 July 2013) right after our work and since it was a Friday, we get to stay out late as all of us do not need to work on Saturday.
We all meet up over at City Hall MRT before walking over to “The Connoisseur Concerto (TCC)” Beach Center Branch as they mentioned had lesser crowd so we can relax and enjoy our meal in a quiet environment. As most of us were TCC members and whenever any of our birthday was on that month, we will get 50% off our total bills and our birthday girl was also a member too.
The restaurant was true enough to be quite comfortable without many people having their meals there (The place was quite a far walking distance too) as we saw only 2 groups of diners there. The environment was nice too with a few sofa seats and the space between each tables where nicely apart so you will not feel uncomfortable with other people too near to you.
There were some magazines for one to read while waiting for their meals to be served or waiting for their friends to arrive. The decoration was nice too.
As it was quite late, we looked through the menu and started to order our dishes. There were quite a lot of staff over at this place even though the place was not a lot of customer. The staff were nice and friendly who even allow us to switch tables if we wish to take up the sofa seats after we had finished our meals so we can relax and chat up.
Before long, our dishes were all served without much waiting.
As per expected of TCC quailty food, the chicken thigh was nicely prepared with the meat tender and juicy inside while having a nice fragrance of the sauce (with bits of pepper spices) really added credits to the overall taste of this dish. Even though it stated the sauce was a mustard sauce, I did not really taste the funny taste which mustard sauce had.
This was one of the newer dish when we were there for our meals and we were all like “wow” when it was being served to us. There was a special dipping sauce which was mixed with green and red roe (Guess it was prawn eggs) together with a bit of wasabi sauce. It gives a tinkering feel after you dipped the chicken meat onto it before putting it in your mouth. Meat of the chicken was still tender even though it was being deep fried with breaded flour. Not a bad dish if you loves the taste of wasabi to go with your food.
I do not really liked the sauce but the fish was indeed fresh and seems more healthier due to the way it was being prepared. Meat was of just nice and would be a good dish for a smaller eater type of person.
One of the more classic dishes adding some seafood onto it. It was a simple yet it really test the skill of the chef in order to make the dish a great tasting ones. I did not really tried this dish though the presentation of this dish was really nice and seems like a nice dish to have.
This was one of the better snack to have but the portion was too little as we can eat the whole piece in one mouth (Maybe girls need about 2 to 3 bites) though it was nice, it would not be enough for a bigger group as compared with the price tag of this dish.
Our drinks were being served to us while our dishes were served so I put these photos of the drinks at the last part.

After having our fill, our friend suggested to go another place for chilling out and we decided to go over to Clarke Quay there for beer drinking session (Yes, I do drink beer though do not really like it if there was too much carbonated gas in it.)
In the end, we decided to go over to Brewerkz as we had been to this place a few times for drinking and chilling session while the environment was not bad.
There were many different types of beer and other drinks over at this restaurant so it took us some time before we decided on what drinks to get. In the same time, we also ordered a snack for us to bite on while drinking the beer.
These chips were super nice though very difficult to eat and if the cheese cooled down, it would be very difficult o take the chips without breaking it. It would be a very sinful snack but it sure was a good one.
This beer does not really have those gassy feel and had a strong citrus and pine hops as stated in the menu. Not a bad drinks and was acceptable for me to drink too.
