Men-Ichi Janpanese Ramen (Jurong Point)

Both Rachel and I planned to have our dinner fix at Jurong Point on Wednesday (24 April 2013) and to have some windows shopping around the place.

Walking around the many restaurants, we decided to have our meals over at Men-Ichi Japanese Ramen Restaurant as both of us had eaten at this restaurant before last time and always been wanting to have it again here.

The restaurant was located along the Japanese Village of Jurong Point Shopping Mall with a very small shop front though their signage is quite big. There were quite a lot of people having their dinner fix here too but we were lucky to be able to get a seats without much waiting.

As for the space of the restaurant, due to smaller space constraint, the tables and chairs are placed near to each other though that did not bother most of the people in there due to nice ramen being served here.

Just Another Busy Weekends

It is a Saturday (9 March 2013) and my father is treating the family for a buffet lunch (Inviting Rachel along too). As both of us had another appointment together with Rachel’s sisters at 2:30pm, my family decided to set the lunch time to be around 11plus at Jurong Point Branch. We had been wanting to go back to eat at Kuishin Bo for their Japanese buffet but always get hold back due to their expensive price tag but since my father wanted to treat the meal over there, we a most happy to do so.

As we had earlier reserved the table at Kuishin Bo, we are able to get a table without much waiting. There are already people queuing up to enter the restaurant by the time we are there (Those who walk-ins)

Ex-Swiber Infra Team Gathering for Food

Even though I had left Swiber (My ex company) for nearly a year now, a few of our infrastructure team members (Some are working in other place too) are still gathering together for a meet up and to eat meals together to relax from our daily stressful lives. We had planned to meet up with each other on Sunday (3 March 3013) for dinner cum chatting session.

Since I returned home in the morning, I sleep through the day till it is time for me to meet up with them. We meeting each other at Jurong Point and decided to eat at one of the Hong Kong Restaurant named “Central Hong Kong Café” at level 3.

Right when we reached the entrance of the restaurant, there are quite a lot of people having their meals over there too but still there are still some empty tables so we are able to get a table without any issue. The tables are being placed quite near to each other but still able to let some slim people walk around the place especially the staff there serving dishes to the customers. We had no problem ordering from the menu which is a laminated A3 size paper.

Random: A Complaint Letter to Crystal Jade (Jurong Point Branch) – Part 2

This is actually a follow up post based on my earlier complaint letter. After getting the reply from Crystal Jade, Ashley, on 13 February 2013, I actually thought that that is the end of this complaint letter as I did not received any reply from them since then.

But I was wrong, on 19 February 2013, I received another e-mail reply from them and this time, from Raymond Wong. He  apologized about this incident that I had experience and stated that they had since identify and provided some re-training and counseling the staff involved. (Hope that this is truth).

Random: A Complaint Letter to Crystal Jade (Jurong Point Branch) – Part 1

Had a very bad experience Tuesday (12 February 2013) when having meal and lo Hei session with ex-infra team friends over at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at their Jurong Point Branch.

Their service really is not up to standard and it actually spoilt our mood a bit during that time. As such, I decided to write a complaint letter to their head office on it the very night.

I just wish to post out my letter for all to see and on what they had replied back to me for all to reference and maybe, this is just a one time off type of bad service (Or maybe I am unlucky to encounter these type of service during that time)

Ambush @ Jurong Point and Fish Spa Day

Since I borrowed a car from my sister who went oversea, I decided to bring Rachel and her sisters for a joy ride on Saturday (24 November 2012). Rachel and her sisters meet up with each other first and went over to Jurong Point to do some stuff while I sleep longer a bit before meeting them there.

It is just nice for a lunch so we decided to go for a lunch over at Ambush where I know they served great dishes. There are some other branches over at Junction 8 and Bugis Junction (Not sure about the rest) but I think the standard should be the same even though I haven’t eaten at other branch before.

There are quite a queue during the time we went there but was actually able to be allocated with a table by the staff without much waiting. The staff over at this restaurant is quite friendly though it is quite difficult to get their attention to take order or to request for things.

Din Tai Fung (鼎泰丰) and Sushi Tei Day

It is a nice Saturday (3 November 2012) and Rachel and I planned to meet up with each other for a nice window shopping and having a nice meal together. Since Laurel and her will need to go Jurong Point Maybank to do something, we decided to meet over there for our brunch too.

After they are done with their stuff, we walk over to Din Tai Fung as we are thinking of eating Chinese Dim Sum for our breakfast cum lunch (Brunch) together. Been to Din Tai Fung for a few times already as I loves some of their dishes and likes their cleanliness of the restaurant (The decoration is very comfortable and cozy).

Anyway, we started to check out the menu and took down what we wish to eat before handed over to the staff when they called our number. We are bought into the restaurant area (Normally we are seated outside) and it is also nice as we get to walk pass the open glass concept kitchen where the chefs are busy preparing the dim sum for the customers.
